Obenward College

The Obenward College of Taldeurian History is a prestigious organization devoted to the study of Taldeurian history, high society, diplomacy, and the Oben clan of giants, with their historical achievement over the subjects of runic magic and flyteholde creation. The institution is broadly understood to include the various aspects of culture, behavior, and social relationships that shaped the historical events of the Oben clan, as well as its eventual branching into modern-day Taldeurtotun. Its studies include various fields of giant history (military history, social history, cultural history), archaeology, anthropology, psychology, sociology, diplomacy, international relations, religion, and economics.

Structure

Obenward was initially founded as an archaeological site in the fourth century DC to assist the crown with the recovery and documentation of historical documents and artifacts of the Oben clan. After the discovery of in-tact devices and artifacts, many of the realm's leading mages and scholars flocked to the region, establishing an institution dedicated to the higher learning of giant magic. In its years of expansion and growth, the donations of many noble families expanded its facilities to host a wide array of diplomatic and social programs, designed to help upperclass youth develop needed skills and mannerisms for official duties. Obenward is still heavily controlled and regulated by the crown, with its academic and bureaucratic leaders being chosen by the Taldeur High Council every few years.
