Royal Family

The Royal Family of Adyll is descended from The Lady's youngest and only surviving daughter, Mila the Loved. Since Mila's reign as the first monarch of Adyll, Adyll has been ruled by women only, passed down in a matrilineal line from daughter to eldest daughter for the last thousand years.
Mila The Loved, First of Her Name's King-Consort was a tribal leader of the desert nomads. Theirs is the only "outsider" blood allowed to mingle with the Blood of the Goddess. The last Queen and King of Adyll, Mila the Eleventh and Pytr, had hoped for a marriage between Zian, the son of the nomadic tribal leader, and their daughter, Irinya.
