Sea Princes

Generations ago the most powerful pirate lords of the Sea of Swords and the Trackless Sea loosely banded together in a league called The Sea Princes. They operate networks of smugglers, slavers, and raiders up and down the Sword Coast. Their initial raids from Luskan to Amn devastated many of the smaller towns such as Saltmarsh. However in recent years many of the smaller coastal communities have negotiated deals and pacts with the Sea Princes to curtail their aggression in exchange for the local authorities turning a blind eye to their smuggling and slaving. These sorts of deals as well as a recent crackdown by the The Lords Alliance have lessened the frequency of attacks, but the Princes still have a large presence all over the Sword Coast.
