Gameplay Rules

Player

  1. This is a living world and you are living in it; the days pass 1:1 as do the chat channels. What you say has effects, what you do has consequences. There is always the risk of death, how much risk you take is up to you.
  2. No lethal PvP is allowed without GM supervision. Want to have a spar and let the Dice-Gods decide the attack/damage? Go for it! But you cannot have lethal pvp without notifying a GM. Any lethal pvp that occurs without oversight will be redacted and RPP reset.
  3. Erotic or nudity-involved roleplay should be conducted in NSFW channels or private messages.
  4. Encounter times and quests are predominantly Player-Led. This means it's on the players to get a group together both in character and out. Don't complain that you don't get encounters if you can't follow this simple rule. We are not mind readers.
  5. The channels are living world channels, you can come and go without coordination to your preference. You went to the tavern and want to burst in on the group huddled over their drinks? Go for it, just don't be surprised if someone decks you.
  6. Due to the nature of ever moving chat channels: If you started role playing and do not respond within 15 minutes of your last post, or more, it is assumed your character behaves based upon their personality. The PC will functionally perform their daily routines as the player intends, except for hostile actions. PCs will escape from hostile situations and find safe refuge to carry on with their day in the event of coming into contact with an aggressor.
  7. Players can with, GM PERMISSION, make adjustments to their character sheet as long as they have NOT reached level 4 or higher (Level 3 and below). Please discuss this in the direct-to-GM channel.
  8. Custom constructs and magic items are not allowed. Don’t ask.
  9. Since this is a living world, time bubbles cannot exist. The only exception to this is with GM intervention due to long sessions, or using time magic. The latter of these should be used with extreme caution.
  10. Multiple PCs belonging to the same player can be in a single party with restrictions
    • Only one PC can participate in a given session.
    • Solo RP between your own PCs is abuse of the RPP system and points will be taken.
  11. Player owned houses and businesses may have their own Discord channels. Ask and ye shall receive. Use your direct-to-GM channel to discuss what channels you would like.
  12. Elephant in the Room WILL be in play. Please familiarize yourself with the changes.

NPC

  1. If you are looking for a GM to run an NPC please tag the GM so that it pulls their attention.
  2. If you are in a town assume the NPC's will provide service for you, and that you can buy any item appropriate to the location that's under 50gp and non-magical, I.e. you can rent a room, buy adventuring supplies, etc without NPC interaction.
  3. NPCs do not haggle unless the item in question has a minimal 50k sell price.
  4. Cursed items sold to NPCs only sell for 1/8th normal price.
  5. Druid potions are never bought by NPCs, they are a dirty race.

Downtime

Adventum follows standard PFSRD downtime guidelines.
Additionally the following are allowed:
  • Characters can earn money with a flat 10gp x Profession or Perform modifier.
