Cedarus returned to his old home of Asceroth as close as he could in a forest not too far away. Asceroth was now an accursed place that was still ravaged by destruction. He settled in the forest and over many years, it grew in Slumberwood.
Cedarus returned as close as he could to Asceroth. He settled near a river in the forest to the far east of the ruins. Not long after his family settled here, his young daughter died suddenly when she became very ill. He buried her at the foot of a tree at the centre of the hamlet, but her Soul merged with the tree, which grew to be very large and towered over the village. The tree became a symbol of the people and was said to watch over them, and the village was named Slumberwood because of it.
