Thaedrin Enlists in the Military

Thaedrin grew up mostly alone due to his status. He hated it, he wanted to go out there and explore the wonders of Adremesis instead of boring politics. This did not clash well with his father, though.

Thaedrin grew in a relatively sheltered environment, and his parents wished for him to become the next proud member of the council in the future place of his father. His sheltered life caused him to become very introverted and struggled with some of the other children in a similar class as he was. He grew up mostly alone, but often dreamt of leaving the high walls of Talbury to explore the world around him and it’s history.

His uncle encouraged this more out-going attitude and trained him in archery. The Mayor was the current Sage of the Bow, and Thaedrin had a little bit of Sage power in his Soul too making him naturally proficient. He made the Mayor proud, but disappointed his father, saying he had failed him as his son.

Attempting to win back his father’s pride, he enlisted in the military. He trained in sword fighting, but struggled getting the right technique. Over many years he gradually got control of the sword as well, though he will never master it. After skirmishes and battles, Thaedrin made a popular mark in his fellow soldiers, earning the nickname of “Hawk” from his skill as an archer. The name stuck with him, and began preferring it to his real name.
