Anarchic Lucius

Lucius was born and killed in the Melveil Ice Plains, though was later revived in 351 BFB to become a member of the The Anarchy, a council of 13 assembled and ruled by the The Lord of Chaos.

His body upon his resurrection was created and sustained by the Amethyst of Ideals and is thus superior to most others, though if that support were to be lost, the body would soon become gaunt and frail.

Personal history

Lucius was born in 313 BFB and has been a prodigy for all of his life. From a young age, he had immense proficiency with the sword and amazing survival skills in the harsh climate of the Melveil Ice Plains. His talents seemed to know no bounds as he was successful in everything he had attempted.
He and three of his friends had planned an expedition to Excellion, to try to uncover secrets that had long since been lost to time, and see if they could find any traces of its mysterious downfall. Upon their departure, there were signs of an immense storm about to sweep the plains, but Lucius was undeterred by the threat. When the small squad reached the glacial pass, a furious blizzard was battering the plains, but Lucius was determined to strive on. He had flawless manoeuvrability and navigation in the storm, though his friends did not. Lucius found that his progress was greatly slowed with the others around him. Eventually, the others decided to turn back, and said that Lucius should too, but he didn't listen. Lucius knew he could make it through, the 4 argued, but Lucius got his way and pressed on without the others. As Lucius approached the end of the pass, a rumble had started. The rumble got stronger and stronger with every passing second, Lucius looked up at the cascading avalanche that was surging down the mountain. Lucius ran, the end of the pass was in sight. But that didn't matter. The avalanche struck Lucius with overwhelming force, and Lucius was killed. Buried under layer upon layer of thick snow.
But Lucius' Soul could not move on to find peace, he was furious, that the incompetency of his friends hindered him just enough for him to be caught up and killed by the avalanche. He felt he was being punished for being the best, and this deep-rooted superiority complex was the foundation for Lucius' rage. His Soul grew restless, and the anger only fuelled his power. His burning emotions, and his blame for others coalesced into a 'soul storm', an immensely powerful Soul whose emotions could not be calmed or quelled. And Lucius would stay this way, roaming the plains, unable to forgive what happened on the day he died, unable to find peace.
Luckily for Lucius, he would be given a second chance. Shortly after the Dark Blast ravaged Adremesis, Lucius' soul storm was approached by the Lord of Chaos. The Lord offered Lucius a second chance at life, in exchange for Lucius to oversee the plains, ensuring no-one escapes them. Lucius agrees, and he is bestowed the Amethyst of Ideals, one of the 7 sagely gemstones. The Amethyst is able to reconstruct the body from Lucius' memories, while the body is not as properly functional as a regular human's, the Amethyst acts as Lucius' life support, requiring nothing else to keep Lucius alive.
Lucius complies with the Lord's wishes, but pursues his own goals at the same time, trying to answer the mysteries of Adremesis and Life. Lucius never employs tyranny in his rule, though he accepts another Anarch into his domain which does choose to terrorise people, Lucius views it as a natural way of life. Upon Lucius meeting Xavier, he starts to feel as though he understands life, and the effects of both the individual and the many, and how the light and the dark may not be opposites, but instead are much more similar than it seems.
Lucius decides that he wants to find out more, he craves answers and believes that he can draw them out of Xavier. He challenges Xavier and his party to a fight, so he can complete his life knowing the truth. They battle in an epic clash of ideals, and Lucius is defeated, he feels enlightened, and swallowing his pride, he passes away, forgiving his friends of the past and gifts the party with the Amethyst.

Morality & Philosophy

Lucius is flexible in his morals, often feeling that life takes a set course and that morals are an illusion of choice. He wonders if the elements of Adremesis to be a fabrication of reality, and that the only thing that determines your surroundings is what your soul interprets them to be.

His only motivation is his pride, and he will do anything to increase his pride and ego. He believes that seeking out the mysteries of Adremesis and life will help to further them.
