Deep Gnome

Deep gnomes, or svirfneblin, are a suspicious, reclusive underground race native to the Underworld, known for their sullen industriousness, unhealthy obsession with precious gemstones, innate understanding of caves and stoneworking and bitter, bloody enmity towards duergar and drow. Deep gnomes are wiry and lean. Deep gnomes are skillful artisans who create functional structures without ruining the natural beauty of their habitat.
