The Immortal Laws
The true immortals of the many planes are held to the standards of an ancient accord. Those who break these rules find themselves facing the wrath of every other immortal and god. These rules are often skirted, they are more of a social contract than a binding magical law. Nevertheless, few immortals ever directly break the Immortal Laws, and when they do they are always beset upon by the rest of the world.
These laws can be vague and varying interperetations are common. Like every law it only matters in so much as the immortals follow and enforce it. Some immortals may skirt the rules or break specific portions of them, and they are not always punished.
- An immortal must observe the rites of hospitality.
- An immortal must not lie.
- An immortal must not directly intervene with mortal affairs on the material plane.
The Rites of Hospitality
- Hosts and guests may not offer each violence or undue offense while in the demesne of the host.
The rites of hospitality are often imposed on mortals, as well as immortals, unlike other parts of the immortal law.
