Rajuul
Rajuul is a Primordial God, the Element Lord of Fire. He is the Forger of Souls, the Flame of Passion, the Radiant Eye, and the Sunstruck Fool. Rajuul is charismatic and kind, active in the world yet sometimes perceived as naive or overly optomistic.
Rajuul creates the souls of all beings, immortals and mortals alike. Rajuul makes no requirements on his creations, but also does not create their physical forms. Nobody knows which plane Rajuul resides on, or how the souls come to be. Often people refer to the sun as the forge of souls, though true worshippers will discourage people from attempting to surmise how souls are created.
Beliefs and Worshippers
The Sire of the Sun wants people to rise to their innate callings, to present them with a chance for love or glory. To waste away ones talents is a sin and a shame. Altruism is one of the prime tenets to Rajuul. Acting first and asking permission later is a common philosophy, and failure is seen as less of a sin than failing to try. There is always room for second chances and self improvement.
Permanent manipulations or destruction of the soul are anathema to Rajuul, such as the use of soul-powered magic. The creation of soulless life forms is also a sin to Rajuul, there is much theological disucssion as to whether plants are life forms to Rajuul, though only the strictest of believers consider the simple growth cycle to be creation even if they were.
Some sects believe passion and joy are inspired directly through the power of Rajuul. The summer solstice is a great holiday and worshippers will throw lavish and often lascivious celebrations. Due to the pleasant nature of the celebrations and common practices many people at least offer some deference to Rajuul, even if they are not devout followers.
Depictions
Rajuul is depicted as a galaxy in the shape of an eye. Other more anthropomorphic depictions show him as a phoenix made of purple or blue flame.
History
Rajuul is known for his pact with the Summer Court, leading to the Cataclysm and Divine War. Rajuul agreed to abolish the night, imagining perpetual summer and happiness. Instead, rivers dried, famines began, and the deserts became nigh uninhabitable. The Winter Court threw their all into the battle but were unable to push back the combined forces of Summer and the Sunstruck Fool. As the Divine War raged in earnest, Kamakavaki was killed and the other Primordial Gods were brought into the battle, turning the tide.
When Adragal was named a zone of peace form the Divine War, Rajuul was forced to break his pact and let night reign again. He was then censored by the gods, forced to give up shards of his divinity to rise up new gods and planes to allow the Divine War to continue without harming the material plane.
