Human

Humans, with their shorter lifespans, make up for their limited time with creativity and drive for change. Humans have claim to some of the most influential inventions of modern times, from airships, to advanced alchemy, to complex banking and transportation systems.

Physical Description

Humans appearance is just that, human. They vary heavily in skin color, facial features, height, and build, mostly dependent on the area of Adragal they hail from. Humans live for around 80 years and are of average height, averaging 5’8” for males and 5’4” for females.

Personalities

Compared to other races, humans feel a constant need for change, exploration, and innovation. The compulsion to carry on traditions completely unchanged is muted compared to that of the elves or dwarves, and human culture tends to rapidly shift and change from generation to generation for that reason.

In the World

Humans find themselves in all parts of the world, but are primarily centered in Ruberia, Djarin, Azurti, and Xerell. Humans have much less of a tendency to segregate themselves racially and integrate well with most other countries.

Racial Traits

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: Humans gain a +2 racial bonus to an ability score of their choice.
  • Size: Humans are Medium creatures and thus have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  • Base Speed: Humans have a base speed of 30 feet.
  • Type: Humans are humanoids.

  • Bonus Feat: Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Djarin Human

The djarin humans have adapted to their desert homeland. They have olive to brown skin color and brown or black hair. These people have lived for long periods of time with close interaction with powerful magical beings such as dragons, and have developed a natural intuition regarding magic.

Additional Racial Traits

  • Arcane Intuition: Djarin humans gain a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Spellcraft checks to research spells, create magic items, and identify magical effects.

Icerib Humans

The humans of the Icerib mountains are much larger than most other humans, with naturally muscular builds and pale skin. Icerib humans have blonde, light brown, or red hair. Icerib humans have a knack for picking up new skills, scholars suggest that it was in response to the many everchanging needs generated by living in the treacherous icerib mountains.

Additional Racial Traits

  • Skilled: Icerib humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Ruberian

The most common human to see, ruberian humans are evocative of humankind. Most ruberians have lighter skin colors, although their hair color ranges from blonde to black.

Additional Racial Traits

  • Urban Instinct: Ruberian humans gain a +2 racial bonus on Sleight of Hand and Stealth checks, and a +4 racial bonus on Survival checks in urban settings.

Xeph

The people of the eternally dark forests of Xerell, the Xeph are almost not considered human. The Xeph are much smaller than most humans, averaging around 5’2”. These people stand out amongst other humans, having purple or red irises and white hair. Every Xeph is born with psionic power, as is common amongst the people of Xerell. Xephs are seen as mysterious and in many places, evil and unnatural.

Additional Racial Traits

  • Wild Talent: Xeph humans gain the Wild Talent feat.
  • Mental Leap: Xeph humans gain the Mental Leap feat, even if they would not meet the prerequisites for it.
