The Third Demonic War
The Conflict
Prelude
The Third and Final Demonic war between Isalan (Present day Chrome) and the free world (Denyth, Agranillis, and The Nations of the Isle). The most bloody of the three demon wars, but it yielded the final result, thanks to Kristen Holyfire and her mages of the Isle.
Deployment
The Mass Coalition to stop Sazroxen deployed a mass army of over thirty thousand infantry, fourteen thousand light cavalry, and six battalions of five hundred longbowmen led by King Horace of Agranillis at the beginning of the war. This army was stationed in the Shaded Valley, which Agranillis had taken in the Second Demonic War.
The Second Army deployed by the defenders was a little pocket of heavy cavalry from Agranillis, who were led by High Earl Johnnus Lasofeil. These were stationed on the ruins just past the bridge between the Isle and the Shaded Valley.
The main defenses of the isle were in disrepair from the last two wars, and it was left to Kristen and her four hundred 'Holyfire' life-mages.
Battlefield
Most of the fighting was done in the lower part of the Shaded Valley, between the mountains of the Chrome, and on the now destroyed bridge between the Isle and the Chrome.
The Engagement
The first twenty years yielded the bloodiest results, with both sides losing more than ten thousand soldiers each. The army of Sazroxen still outnumbered Horace 25-2 after by 5900, and this led to Isalan's removal of all outside forces from the Valley. Agranillis was forced to retreat from the Straights and Denyth followed in 5913, leaving the Isle completely undefended, save Kristen and her mages. Despite all odds, in early 5924, Kristen and her mages held off an army of 5500 assorted infantry from Isalan near the bridge. This was followed by an even larger force led by Sazroxen himself, but after seven months of skirmishes and battles, Kristen managed to cast a powerful counterspell against the dark lord and throw him into the dark pit forever.
Outcome
The Shaded Valley and Abandoned Isle are wasted warzones, the people in Agranillis and Denyth are restless from the constant war.

Isalan falls, the oldest kingdom on the Aejilon coast. This plunges
Historical Significance
Legacy
The Third Demonic War set off a series of events that could not be predicted, starting off with the establishment of the Holyfire school of Mages, which became a powerhouse ally of Agranillis. This balanced the magic users between good and evil- Agranillis and Denyth have very little knowledge about their respective crystals. This war, although it would seem unconnected, started the Endless War less than one thousand years later. Hostility toward Agranillis was high in the entire free world for pulling support from the Isle in the final years of the sixth millennium. This hostility faded after the land was given to Kristen, but Denyth never fully regained their allegiance to the kingdom, making 'the Endless War' possible.
Technological Advancement
The Demonic War was mournful for all sides, the loss of life appalling. But the war provided valuable information on both the Dark Crystal outside the Shaded Valley, as well as a general location on a sixth, unkownn crystal
