Jessamine was raised by a strong single mother who just happened to be a hag. Though she loves her mother dearly, she doesn't really see herself settling down in a nice swamp and abducting a baby just yet. For the foreseeable future, she just wants to live in her cute city apartment, take care of her many many animated plants, and navigate the thrilling new world of human dating with her boyfriend Josh.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
She's decently athletic, but not remarkably muscled. She's slender, on the shorter side, and intentionally not very striking when you first look at her.
Body Features
She has a magic rune tattooed on her left forearm as a tool for use in her rote spells. She has a sizable number of small scars on her arms and legs from years of running around the swamp, and her feet and hands are callused. She perpetually has dirt under her fingernails and her plants treat her like a big ol jungle gym.
Facial Features
Her mother was specifically looking for beautiful children when she was abducted, and Jessamine has certainly met that promise. With bright green eyes and a spray of freckles across her face, even her loose knot of blonde curls doesn't quite distract from her eternally kinda sunburnt face.
Special abilities
She can create life, end life, and is pretty sure she can't die. That being said, let's not unpack it at all.
Apparel & Accessories
Jessamine usually has wrist-fulls of bracelets and at least five necklaces. Basically whatever jewelry she puts on kinda just never comes off. Her clothes are usually bright or pastel and Always have a ton of pockets for her many passengers. Her nose is pierced and she recently bought a tattoo gun online sooooooo get ready for that!

Honestly the intro did a pretty good job of describing her life, she's not all that secretive.

The romantic feelings of my characters will not be fully perceivable in any campaign at all ever thank you very much.
Education
She grew up in a witch's hut, so she's incredibly familiar with the world of magick and monsters, but hasn't quite been formally educated in regular human things. She's familiar with the basics of human life since she's had a few years to figure it out, but still misses a detail here and there. Her informal attendance of lectures at the local community college certainly helped with that, and not only because that's where she met Josh.
Employment
Her primary source of income is her popular Etsy account, where she sells small witchy trinkets to the growing community of witch and pagan ladies online. She also works part-time or as needed at Rite Time Rite Place to supplement her variable income. The gag is, she often infuses actual legitimate magic into the products she's selling, leading to a lil bit of shenanigans in even the most mundane lives in Addadale.
Failures & Embarrassments
Her first year living on her own in Addadale consisted of constant tiny failures. She knew little of modern life and had to put the puzzle pieces together herself, leading to a number of messy situations.
Mental Trauma
Though you'd assume that having been abducted as a young child would lead to trauma, Jessamine is totally cool with it. That's just the hag lifestyle baby, and she loves her adoptive mother more than anything. Her childhood was genuinely happy; it was much harder on her to acclimate to human life in her early twenties.
Intellectual Characteristics
She's deeply knowledgeable on secret magicks, but couldn't do calculus or explain how coffee is made. Like, she could probably tell you how you're going to die, but not how a stoplight knows when a car is there.
Morality & Philosophy
When she encounters a person she finds fascinating or kind or worthwhile in any way really, she'll have their back. She does her best to help out those in need but tends not to actively seek out a fight. She admires and tries to assist people in their efforts to learn about or integrate into a new world.
Taboos
She loves her mother, her boyfriend, and her plants. Do not cross. Also don't go out of your way to hurt other people.

Jessamine's boyfriend Josh is an engineering TA at the local community college. He's incredibly sweet with a big family, and Jessamine is head over heels.
Jessamine works part-time at Rite Time Rite Place and has a friendly relationship with her bosses Andy and Amber.
Family Ties
Aydina is a mildly over-bearing mother figure who just wants Jessamine to be a happy hag. She raised Jessamine to be an incredibly competent witch and hopes that one day she'll return to her roots. She's definitely crazy, but when it comes to Jessamine her intentions are good. Chaotic and unpredictable, she's mostly just confused by her daughter's life choices.
Wealth & Financial state
Jessamine makes a decent living between her online store and her job at Rite Time Rite Place, and lives a comfortable lifestyle.
A humble swamp witch making her way in the big city. Maybe there's monster hunting, maybe there's not, she's just sorta down for whatever ya'know?
