The Meysam Chalice: Session 2
General Summary
After crossing the Riah Channel, the party arrives at Zabran Port, where they learn that General Ashur of the IXth Legion is at the chimeric ruins of Pyrith. The party spends some time at the port to see what wares the blacksmith and armorer have to offer. Both primarily supply the legion, but they do offer tempering and repair services, and can provide temporary boons that may aid in any combative trials our heroes might encounter. Kinsara arm wrestles the blacksmith for a quiver of ten (10) glowlite tipped, highly volatile arrows. She succeeds in defeating the blacksmith and her feat attracts the attention of nearby legionnaires. After, upon inquiring about a special augmentation for his staff, Rüppellain is told by the blacksmith that he might have luck speaking with the "half-breeds" in the Northern Numir Mountains.
The party spends a day traveling to Pyrith, which turn out to be ruins of a chimeric site of unknown purpose. The crumbled foundation and walls of an old tower are found at the top of a cliff overlooking the Riah, where the party meets with General Daran dan Ashur and some of his men. The general seeks the party's assistance, explaining one of his own men was trapped inside the ruins after he and others barely managed to escape when a triggered security system forced them to evacuate. He is worried for the health and safety of his subordinate. Our heroes agree to offer their aid. Kinsara uses her nature magics to grow vines beneath and between the crumbled debris over the entrance, forcing the boulders away to make room for the party to enter the ruins.
Once inside, after bringing power back online to the old chimeric structure, the party advances to find a large chamber, wherein they discover General Ashur's felimera subordinate, alive but barely hanging on. They also awaken the structure's guardian: a gargoyle like statue of a dragon ridden by a demonic creature. The heroes clash with the ancient sentry and deal with it swiftly. After which, they learn from a timecapsule orb that two members of the Ostia Aterni had beaten them and the legion both to the ruins already...
"What are you doing, you idiot?" "I think I've set it to record somehow..." "What for?" "It wasn't my intention. I swear!" "Well shut it off. We've gotten the record we came for. We need to return to Arcana and deliver it to the Ostia Biblia." "That statue isn't going to ambush us on the way out?" "The half-breed saw to it himself. We're safe... for now." "I don't trust that Swordsong boy." "Neither do I. But he's useful as tools go."

Investigate Pyrith- The party successfully cleared the ruins of Pyrith and discovered that the Ostia Aterni, a militant religious organization of the Empire's Astralian Church, were there well before them.
Side Quest
Rescue General Ashur's Subordinate- Cayenne and Rüppellain provided care to the felimera and save his life. General Ashur should be immensely grateful.
