The Meysam Chalice: Session 1

General Summary

After travelling for several months from the southern tip of the Aurean Stretch, a party of the best archaeologists that the Shiva Exploration Company has to offer arrive in Rytaia, the capital of the Nasir Dominion. There, the Isepox woman, Kinsara; the runaway slave, Miri; the devious doctor, Cayenne; and the mourning necromancer, Rüppellain, make for the embassy to meet with Shankara's representive to the Nasir Dominion.
During the meeting, they receive the details of their contract from a maolim of the Library of Sena: to locate and secure the legendary Meysam Chalice for the Dominion. The only problem... is that the city of the chalice's namesake, Meysam, has been long lost to the annals of time. But the Library has it on good authority that the chalice does indeed exist. Our adventurers only need to determine the location of the lost chimeric city.
The Library does have one solid lead that the party can follow up on: investigate the chimeric ruins near Zabran Port, across the Riah Channel, that may have a connection to Meysam. Perhaps our heroes might be able to learn more there.

Entertain General Barsam dan Sherazi with a bout of sparring practice against some of his legion's new recruits.

• The party sought out and agreed to the match against the general and his men. While the green-kneed legionnaires put up a good fight, they were ultimately out-classed by the veteran adventurers. In return for Shiva's sportsmanship, the general informed them of a ship that would be willing to give them transport across the Riah.
• Upon Miri's request, the general also provided a sealed letter of introduction to be passed to his counterpart of the IXth Legion, currenty garrisoned at Zabran Port. The letter is to be handed directly to General Daran dan Ashur.

Notes

The party was allotted a war chest of 200 Shankaran æthel from Shiva headquarters. They opted to exchange 100 æthel for 100 Dominion abazi at the Ruby Alliance's currency exchange.
