The north of Adaris is a harsh and unforgiving realm. Cold climate and frequent storms are a few of the possible dangers for the kearnish peoples whom dwell here. The Kearns are a resilient people who make a living growing hardy grains, trapping for furs, fishing, mining ore and panning for gold. In recent years, tensions have sparked between the Kearns and the Fairn kingdoms to the south, leaving many of the small towns and villages undefended. As a result, crime has become more rampant and the peasants have began to revolt or turn to a life of banditry. Even worse, orcs and goblins have began a perilous assault from beyond the Elderhorn mountains and some even rumor that the frost giants from old have returned.
