Citadel of Reddingfield

The Citadel of Reddingfield is one of the  Barrier Fortresses on the island of Ciello. The Fortress is located within the walls of the city, on a rocky outcrop near the harbour.
Lately control of the fortress has been contested. The forces of the Duke are besieged within the fortress by the militia of the city.
As a barrier fortress the Citadel is nearly impenetrable. Although its design is ancient, the walls are thick and strong. More importantly the fortress is protected by a system of magical protections and enchantments which makes it very nearly unassailable. No barrier fortress has ever been taken by a traditional assault.
