Return from the Underdark Report

General Summary

After reaching the Stom's Edge Inn, the party relaxed for the night before returning to the College of Nynthemar via a teleportation circle placed by an unknown party.
Once back in Nynthemar, the party met with Andrillian and a somewhat lackluster welcome back. The party continued on to meet with Hillandril and share what they found out. When they found him he was currently speaking with a group of adventurers known as Keep Kraken.
Once the party of flavorful characters left for the great hall, the party shared what they found out about the Wand of Orcus and the portal to Avernus with Hillandril. Taking in some of the information, Hillandril shared with the party a location of a pyromancer hideout. Hillandril advised these users are unlicensed and causing a problem for the locals.
The party continued into the great hall to see a cluster of students gather around Keep Kraken. Alias, decided to change the narrative by jumping onto the table and proclaiming the deeds of the Order of the Bump N Grind. Rather successfully, more than half of the student body started to look at the party with a look of awe. Members of Keep Kraken also had started to angrily glance at the party leaving Graivis Prax no choice, but to throw a glass pitcher shattering at the feet of the other party. Gavin Strongjaw stood and stared down Graivis until the dean walked in settling down the student body.
After resting in a dormitory style room, the party teleported back to the Bump N Grind. To the party's suprise, the welcoming was much more warm as Lord Varrick had declared the deeds of the party in their departure. The party was welcomed home with a basket of goods and repaired Tavern.
Moving towards the Manor for an update from Lord Varrick, Stodgy took note of the recovered Great Saw Leaf tree looming over the center of the town. Its leaves were filled with life as they prepared for the fall. In the marketplace a new establishment was discovered, Mudd Pies. The owner, Mudd, clearly remembered the party and feared Severnius. Trying to continue to please Stodgy, Mudd offered free pie to him, and it was suprisingly good.
Lord Varrick had disclosed to the party some more assassination attempts were made on him wich led to the unsolved murder of Sharri Orphaned . There have been no new undead reports in the area.
The party established they need to hire a caretaker of the Bump N Grind and additional staff. This is to be retcon handled outside of the session.
The party established a teleportation circle and returned to the college to set off to handle the pyromancers. Upon arrival to the underground hideout, the party came across recently killed pyromancer gaurds. Continuing on, the party ran into a couple of traps. The first trap consisted of webs and a fireball that was going to be launched, but was dispelled by Stodgy. Escaping the webs, Severnius pushed forward into the hallway where the floor hinged downwards and was covered in grease. Severnius slid downwards into a gelatinous cube resting at the bottom. Graivis continued to the rescue down the slope, but was also engulfed. Stodgy attempted to burn the cube, but also in turn ignited the grease. Eventually the cube was detroyed and the party members freed.
They continued into the final room to find for killed pyromancers, a madallion of fire resistance, and a calling card for Keep Kraken.
