Born between the union of the great golden dragon, Tarkosh, and an unknown female angel. Astolfo grew up under the care of his father in his great underground lair. Adventurers would come often seeking to claim the hoard of Tarkosh but were never successful. The might of Astolfo's father always being to great for them. Astolfo grew complacent as a result, believing his father would handle everything he became aloof and air-headed. Tarkosh could allow this while Astolfo was young but when he climbed closer and closer to maturity it became clear that staying with him would only cause him misfortune in the future. Astolfo's destiny blatantly clear to the great dragon that had stood for aeons before the founding of paradise. So with a heavy heart and a stalwart belief Tarkosh cast out Astolfo. Sending him the direction of Valkyrie's spear. Towards the paladin order of Lion's Roar, he thought they would be the best to train Astolfo. To teach him how to fight, heal and survive the coming calamity. Any followers of the king who once claimed Tarkosh's power for herself surely must be worthy of entrusting his son to.
On his way to Valkyrie's spear he encountered some trouble, most he was able to avoid or talk his way through. But some he had to force his way through, discovering his higher than average proficiency with a blade he decided to use it to gain money to use during his travels. He proceeded to fight and slay from Stormsfell to the reapers dunes and to Valkyrie's spear. Gathering some renown and a great up and coming swordsman the Lion's Roar paladin order was instantly hesitant to take him on, a great fighter with the name of the legendary hero would only cause them trouble. This was forgotten upon viewing his trials however, they saw Astolfo for what he was. He may have great aptitude for combat but he was simple and naive, with no care for the art of war. They were sure he would never make it to the rank of paladin. They were right. After joining Lion's roar and meeting up with his cousin Bradamante and becoming friends with a fellow paladin trainee Irene he began to get into lots of trouble. Disturbing prayer, refusing duels and attempting to bed most of the recruits. This all came to a head when his secret was revealed. Valkyrie's Spear is an all female city. Supposedly built upon the resting place of the spear of the legendary hero, Rhongomyniad, it is a haven for all women who wish to become as strong as Artoria, as wise as Gwynevere or as ruthless as Mordred. As such no men were allowed in for longer than a week and none could enter the sacred halls of Artoria's throne. But Astolfo did, he lied about his gender. Made liars of all those around him and sullying the holy ground that he stood upon. They cast him out and gave grave punishments to all who knew.
Now he wanders the wilds in look of a new home, Tarkosh advising him on a little known guild within the Silvanus Woods. One where destiny seems to have great interest in.
History
They met at the Vakyrie's Spear paladins guild. They very quickly hit it off and have been good friends ever since.
They have started having sex on a semi regular basis. Bradamante is confused but is slowly developing real love for Astolfo. Astolfo enjoys the taboo and isn't sure how far he will take things.
