Dark matter

Dark matter is the name given to the psychic substance that allows sentient species to connect to the void and use its powers . All sentient species to some extent have dark matter inside their bodies . Aenarri and Lycans have very large concentrations of dark matter in their bodies while humans, Saurians and Charybdians are less psychically attuned and contain lesser amounts of it in their bodies.

Dark matter appears as a very dark and amorphous substance inside the human body and other bodies. It is spread unevenly through the body so dark matter is in more higher concentrations around the brain and central nervous system and scattered unevenly across the rest of the body.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Dark matter is an extremely powerful yet calm material. The amount of dark matter that is found in an Aenarri body is enough for powering the city of New York on old earth for over a year. It is extremely soft to the touch when it is bonded with other materials to form alloys although this is not done on a large scale since dark matter is scarce and sentient beings can die if they are deprived of too much dark matter.
