Bloodspines

Bloodspines are a predatory humanoid amphibian race native to the oceans of Cadmeia. They roam the waters around the equatorial continent of Caledonia as they are cold blooded creatures and need warmth but have been spotted as far as the northern coast of The continent of sidonia. Their most prominent feature are their fins that are a blood red color as well as their blood red dorsal spikes which they can detract at will and gives them their name. They are also a sentient species with a tribal based civilization and have a bronze age level of technology. Their strength and expertise in aquatic combat has made them a great resource for the Cadmeians and in the present day, many Bloodspines serve as auxiliaries in the Cadmeian Blood Dragons regiments.
