Governor Cedrik

Governor Cedrik is the governor of Ifragin. He is quiet and industrious, preferring the administrative task of his position to the wealth and prestige of his fellow governors. He is fiercely intelligent and often bored with conversation with those whom he deems beneath his own intelligence. Still, he is polite if not curt in his levies with the nobles and lawyers, making a consistent excuse to leave when he's through: "Well, there are many locks and only one key, so I must be off." Ultimately, Cedrik idealizes his responsibility as governor, prizing his efforts to maintain balance of trade and commerce within the volatile port city which is his charge. He often says: "All life is balance. As waves crashing against the shore, everything rises and falls, ebbs and flows". Despite his acclaim among the people, many suspect that his a position as governor is more curiosity than he is, for a governor is a position that one is either born into or kills into, and Cedrik has no high born lineage.
