Fists of the Demon Slayer
This is a pair of extraordinarily large gauntlets are crafted from the heads of twin demons.
Attuning to this item attunes both fists as a pair.
They must both be wielded to activate their potent enchantments.
They function as a pair of +2 war-hammers.
When active each successful hit deals an additional 1d4 fire damage.
If used to attack a fiend this damage is changed to 1d8 force damage.
As an action you may slam the gauntlets together and allow the demon spirits partial freedom.
While the demons are free your gauntlets deal an additional 1d4 fire damage to non-fiend creatures.
At the beginning of your turn you take 1d4 fire damage as the gauntlets burn into your flesh.
The demons remain unleashed for 1 minute, or until you use a bonus action on your turn to seal them away.
If you are knocked unconscious during this affect the demons will be freed, manifesting them as a pair of Maw Demons.
Once these demons are defeated they return to the gauntlets.
