The Nidum

The Nidum is the Pantheon of Gods recognized by Acidenlay and the worship of the Nidum is known as Nidism. The members of the Nidum are based upon birds due to their ability to fly and therefore their proximity to the sky and heavens. It is believed that the Aarakocra seen on Acidenlay are decedents and manifestations of the Nidum watching over the lands. There are 8 members of the Nidum: Tomium, Priscivo, Cloaca, Oolo, Gorget, Nidi, calami, and Saprovo.

It is believed that the Nidum live atop the peaks of the Monidum Mountains. The range itself is made up of 8 peaks itself. One great peak for each member of The Nodium. Monidum translates to Home of the Nidum. These mountains are considered holy places, and temples to the Nidum can be found among their peaks.

Beyond the primary 8 of the Nidum is what is considered the Nidum Minor. These are the children and lesser members of the Nidum who also have powers and influence in the world. However, these typically do not receive general worship. More often these Nidum Minor are sought after specific groups, or have very particular domains. For this reason, they are not fully explored in this section but are great characters to expand upon campaigns pertaining to the Nidum. At the end of the section, you will find an introductory list with a basic physical description and their domain. You will also find any listed in this section mentioned in some way in the greater description of the core Nidum.
