Beast vs beast

In the world of Acidenlay many species of Beasts inhabit the land. More information regarding these various species can be found in the Species Section under Creating your Citizen of Acidenlay. Beyond the Beasts of Acidenlay there are also beasts. What is the difference? Well that is a much debated topic amonst the scholars of Acidenlay. Something at the back of every citizens mind, but definetly more thought about by some than others. The difference is hard to categorize for the argument of inate intelligence is easily debated as some beasts can be just as clever as any Beast, and vice versa. Those who argue being able to walk bipedal and talk is often the stance of others, but this two is easily countered with the fact that some beasts too can stand and move bipedally and all do have their own communication amongst their own. So what does make the difference and why are some Beasts and some beasts. The true answer is yet to be discovered, but the fact is that Beasts evolved beyond the wild nature of their ancestors and some did not. Meaning yes, you could find a Tabaxi family with a pet dog, or a group of Harengon out in the forest hunting deer.
Morality of Beast vs beast is the biggest issue for some residents of Acidenlay. This suttle divergant point in evolution isn't enough for some, and find the killing and eating of beasts to be a truly disgusting act. Groups against the mistreatment of beasts are often seen in the streets ploclaiming their thoughts, and often beseach the king's council regarding the matter. Though dispite their efforts the "Natural Order" of things shows that even beasts hunt and eat that which is weaker, and so if Beasts are strong than beast than so it shall be. Though be advised the killing of a Beast by a Beast is a crime, and a punishable offense judged by the Crown's Court.
