To Introduce Your Character To Your Party

This video is here to guide you and help you answer these questions more thoroughly. I would appreciate it if you watched it but I don't demand you do:




Please consider your answers to the questions under the following categories; Intent, Goals, Worries and Outcomes. These questions cover both you as a player and your character, and help me steer the campaign in a mutually enjoyable direction.

Intent

 

The PCs Build

What is the purpose and goal behind the build of the PC? Why this class, why these stat allocations, what are you trying to get out of this build?  

The Function

What role or purpose do you plan to serve within the party? How will you function in battle scenarios? What role will you take in social interactions?

Goals

 

Your Goals as a player

What is your goal as a player? Why do you want to play the game and what do you hope to get out of the game?  

Your PC (Player Character)'s Goals

What does your pc want? What is the short term immediate goal, and what of the long term goal?

Worries

 

Potential Issues

What sort of issues may come out of your character being who and how they are? What sort of trouble might it get the party, and are there any tells before it gets to that point? Can you come up with any mitigating or preventative courses of action for this?  

Team Work

What sort of team work related issues might arise with this character? What are your areas of expertise and do they complement the party? Do you share areas of expertise with another person in the party?  

Alignment

What is the PCs relationship to the other party members? How do they get along and what is their attitude towards the others? How is the PC going to fit in with the party?

Outcomes

Journey

What sort of a journey outcome do you want for the PC? What sort of a psychological journey did you have in mind for the character?  

Game Experience

What sort of a game experience are you looking for? Light-hearted? Dark? Psychologically taxing? Full of moral dilemmas? Full of diplomatic incidents? How do you expect your character's going to play like and what sort of mental obstacles do you think they'll have to surpass?
