Kelpie

They only act like demons if you don't treat them right.
  Kelpies are a Celtic Folklore demon that drowns people to their deaths. But to the mer kelpie are harmless, as long as they are treated right.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A scaled half-horse half-fish monster. The horse has a mane that looks like a fish's fin. This main goes down to the base of its neck. They have horse-like faces with black fish-like eyes. Their upper bodies look very horse-like and they have two front legs. These front legs bend like the front of a real horse. The bottom part of the legs are very fin-like. These legs can help them swim and "walk" on the bottom of the seashore.   The kelpies' bodies start out big and narrow to be more fish-like. The body then becomes a tail. The tail is shark-like. They have gills on the sides of their necks. About halfway down the neck. They have four gills on each side of their necks.

Genetics and Reproduction

A male and female kelpie can have one egg with each other. Sometimes the female can lay two eggs.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Kelpie eat seaweed and kelp. They can also eat fish meat. They live in warm and coolish waters.

Domestication

To domesticate a wild kelpie a mer must lasso the kelpie and take it to a caged pen. That way the kelpie doesn't swim away. Then the kelpie is broken like a wild horse being tamed. After the kelpie is broken it is considered tamed.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Kelpies are used for transportation. They pull carriages and other things. They are also used to pull carts that have trade goods.

Kelpies have excellent underwater vision. They also have really good hearing.

Kelpies are green and are covered in scales. If they lived in coral reefs they can be different colors. Normally matching where they live.
