Inunne Chapter 4
After a moment's thought, Ikota starts heading down, planning to stop briefly at the recreation deck before heading to engineering.
The elevator door snicks open, and he steps out into a room somewhat larger than the bridge. A couple of people are sparring in some kind of martial art, with another sitting on the floor a bit away from the others and looking at their comm device. They don't seem to notice him right away, so Ikota takes a moment to glance around and get a sense of things.
On one end is a door and the word 'medical' marked on it in several languages, and nearby is a door with the word 'food' marked. The rest of the room seems to be mostly empty, though the floor has a square tiled pattern. The walls have a small array of shelves and cabinets with various supplies, many of them seeming to be for exercise and entertainment. At one end he thought he could spot an old holo projector, though it's hard to tell at this distance.
The two sparring seem to be a bluish humanoid with a strong build, digigrade legs, and two long tendrils coming off their head and topped with soft looking fuzz, versus a striped peach and light teal humanoid with a delicate, yet durable looking frame, a long pointed head, and webbed fingers. Both are wearing basic flight suits and seem to be enjoying themselves, tossing some friendly banter back and forth as they wrestle in the middle of the floor. The figure reading quietly in the back seems to be some kind of metallic construction, though its a little hard to see past the two grappling.
Given that the rest of the crew seems to be occupied, Ikota:
A) Continues down to engineering to make his investigations on Oscillation's problems. They all seem busy, and it wouldn't be polite to interrupt their activities. B) Tries to step around the sparring duo as there's plenty of space, and walk over to the door marked food to get some breakfast before heading down to the engine room. C) Steps a little more into the room and tries to catch their attention to make a polite introduction. Better to get that out of the way now than wait for later when they'd all dispersed, and the engine had gone this long without issue so it wouldn't hurt to wait a little longer.
