Rosebur

The city of Rosebur, located on the western shores of former Hod province is one of the Five Titans of Tyconteroga. The city is known as "the blooming rose", a reference to its name origin and city symbol. As the city was a part of the feudally organized Khania for many decades and joined the Titans of Tyconteroga later than others, the city for long still took a lot of its profit from feudal taxes of local farmers and the inhabitants of its extended swamplands. Especially the orcs living north of the city have resented this practice for years and minor rebellions followed.
After becoming the fifth titan of Tyconteroga, the city encouraged trade as its primary income but with the mighty Jullulia next door, these attempts turned out less fruitful than hoped.
A crashing change in Rosebur occurred in the year of 930 AGF. For unknown reasons, the city suddenly found itself assaulted by demons who sought to wreak havoc among the population. A large detachment of inquisitors from Soleriant that was coincidentally present in the city at the time helped beat back the attack and saved the city from annihilation. This traumatic experience massively changed the city, with many temples of Sarenrae being constructed and religion taking on a larger role in politics, a development that highly displeased the other titans.
Nowadays, Rosebur is a city that abandoned many of its old ways in radical fashion. Gone are the days of feudalism and the city acts as a primary outpost of the inquisitors of Soleriant. It is a titan in pursuit of a new identity, which tries to bring its fellow titans into the light of Sarenrae. A mission that, so far, was mostly unsuccessful.
