Primarily Human, with some mixed in dwarves and elves. Primarily lower class/unwealthy citizens. Working class generally with a few higher power townspeople having more personal wealth.
Government
Direct Democracy with a yearly elected Townmaster . The Townmaster has little power and is not much more than a title.

Phandalin is a mining town that primarily survives on the ores of nearby mountains and caverns.
Infrastructure
Minimal infrastructure. Phandalin’s people focus primarily on self sustainability. The Triboar Trail is located not far from the town.

Nearest settlement to Wave Echo Cave. Also homes The Forgotten Four and the Trader’s Unification.

The town has representatives from Lords’ Alliance, Order of the Gauntlet, Emerald Enclave, Harpers, and Zhentarim present.
History
Originally settled as a stopping point to Wave Echo Cave, but was shortly after raided and wiped by Orcs. In recent years, it has been returning as a functional settlement and is even on the rise due to the rediscovery of Wave Echo Cave.

Located between Forestlands and Mountain Ranges. 20 miles from sea.
