The Takad Syndicate

The Takad Syndicate are a group of many crime families that have banded together to create a worldwide network and increase profits. People join for a variety of reasons, coercion, greed, lack of options, or simply because they are a member of the family. Either way, their manpower is great and their network is huge. Even if you eliminated an outpost, there will be a new one there in weeks to months, and the rest will be unharmed.

Structure

  1. The 3 Families: Each family is one of the original families that ran the largest crime operations in Faecrosti until they fused into the Takad syndicate. The families are: the Tovunharu (Dark elf, sell illegal substances and contraband), the Krath (Bugbear, sell less than legal services), and the Helot (Human, sell information and/or distribute it)
  2.   The Retainers: Each family has 3 more families under them: their retainers. The Retainers are more direct in their business with lower ranks and are often used as agents or liaisons of the Families themselves. The Tovunharu's retainers are the Kyl (Yuan-kai drug and poison producers), the Gal (Siigonis smugglers), and the Ikenei (Ashtari enforcers). The Krath have 4 retainers: the Opinari (Tenevri assassins), the Duskfang (Dragonborn smugglers), the Jilani (elvish Iquini blood hunters), and the Kor (Orcish spies and enforcers). Finally, the Helot have 5 retainers, but they are a little redundant: The Finnel (Moviri Spies and negotiators), the Qu (Iquini Illusion, transmutation, and divination mages), the Bluehearts (Hobgoblin spies and enforcers), the Demir (Vampire spies and thieves), and the Te (Tenevri "coercers", a.k.a. kidnappers and torturers.) 3. The Dons/bosses: Every single outpost or large enough group of the Takad is controlled by a don or a boss. They control the individual work and movements of that group, but they all answer to at least 1 retainer family or even one of the big 3. Beyond paying up profits and handing up big jobs, they work pretty independently of their superiors and each other. 4. Everyone else: Beyond the leaders, every other member of the Takad is relatively the same rank, whether it be bruisers, pickpockets, assassins, smugglers, temporary mercenaries, or anything else. Some outposts may break down the chain of command further, but not often.
