Pilzen

Pilzen is a word used to describe both the culinary culture of Ecleinian workers who typically eat breakfasts and lunches on the way to work and the quick, easy to eat street foods that are prevalent in Ecleinian urban areas. A large number of food services exist to service these workers, and to foster pilzen culture.   The most popular pilzen dish is ricenett. Ricenett is a meal of yellow rice with a variety of ingredients added, typically green pepper, sliced beef, a scrambled or sunny side up egg, and occasionally eggplant. It has its origins in various Nuron meals, and is typically served in biodegradable paper boxes, and eaten with a fork. They are a relatively common sight in Ecleinia in the mornings, favored by everyone from laborers to bankers. Skyship pilots also love ricenett.   There are a wide variety of pilzen sandwiches, but one of the most common is the sunrise sub. This sandwich is made with a sliced baguette, before being loaded with sausage, scrambled eggs, cooked tomato, and occasionally hot sauce. Other variants include meatballs, cooked eggplant, a citrus sauce, sliced beef, shredded pork, or some combination.   Bagels are also popular in pilzen cooking. Thousands of variations on the bagel exist, but one of the most famous is the Legislator's bagel, which consists of sliced sausage, melted cheese, fish bits, shredded beef, and cooked eggplant. Another popular bagel style is to use various types of spread, including jam, marmalade, or jelly.   Of course, there is also street pizza. A morning pizza will usually have at least two meats (usually ham and sausage), a mild hot sauce, peppers, and cheese. Mushrooms are also sometimes added. This pizza is almost always thin crust, so that one can fold it easier to eat in a hurry.
