Tenjin

One of the major islands of the Broken Bridge, Tenjin hosts the city of Shotoku, in which lies the University of Minamoto - a center of scholarship and home of the greatest swordsmiths in the Broken Bridge - possibly the world. The entire university is built within a single building, with no windows and many winding hallways spiraling away from doors, so that the forges can be observed in perfect darkness.

The market of the city is immense and well stocked with weapons and armor both, but of course it is the blades that take greatest prominence, with many demonstrations of swords breaking each other, swords cutting through falling flowers, swords bending at impossible angles before springing back to true, etc.
