Unity Station
Unity Station is a ring-shaped spacestation in the orbit around earth. It is divided in 100 sectors, of 61 are controlled by the ATF and 39 by criminals, cooperations or private persons. These 39 sectors are called the "dark" sectors, due to their lawless nature. Sectors 19 to 57 are considered "dark".
Government
The sectors under ATF control are each supervised by a sector governour. The 61 governours report to the ATF high command, which is the highest instance in the chain of command. The government in the dark sectors however varies drasticly. Most of them are contolled by criminal gangs, like the Firestormers in sector 19, but some belong to cooperations or private persons, who enforce their own laws.
Defences
Unity Station is defended by a small fleet of different spaceships ranging from Starfighters to Destroyers. Additionally to that there are cannons mounted on the station itself and on various sattelites.
Industry & Trade
Several of the dark sectors are used as factorys by companies like Exocon-Insustries, who control sector 25.
Infrastructure
Each sector has their own infrastructure and can theoretically function on their own. The only shared infrastructure is a monorail system, used to transport goods and people through the station
History
The construction of Unity Station began in 2115 as an ATF propaganda project. At several times in the stations history, the ATF abandoned or sold different sectors, which then became the dark sectors.
