Case Overview

Jose Luis Lopez was found alive but unresponsive on the evening of Feb 1 by his parents. He was transferred to a local NGO clinic where he has remained on life support. Three attempts were made to disconnect him from the Matrix but each resulted in severe pain and increasing morbidity, with the final attempt precipitating a cardiac event.
The clinic and address of the child remain unidentified. The father's name is Castro Lopez and he is a street vendor in the neighborhood of Algontillo, a slum of Tenochtitlan .
The information was passed along to the WHO through an online handle named 'WhiteNight'.

Background

Jose Luis Lopez is a 14 year old boy born with Herrings Syndrome who has remained in some semblance of hospice care his entire life. His family remained close with a local NGO clinic which provided the majority of the care he required. With his inability to properly fight infections and the dangerous atmosphere of Tenochtitlan he has spent the majority of his time in the Matrix and is, from the account of his father, a very "good decker" who enjoys playing "vr games like Steppes of the Sand Kings ."

Situation

No reliable method currently exists to contact the boy, his family, or the clinic. In addition the slums they are in are known for their violence and lack of security presence. However, if the information reported is accurate this may be the first known case of the condition we are investigating.
Aztlan is unlikely to grant official UNIT access to Tenochtitlan , infiltration would by necessity be convert unless political cover could be somehow be gained.
