Tenochtitlan (formerly Mexico City) is the capital of Aztlan and the seat of power for Aztechnology, perhaps the largest and most powerful corporation on Earth.
The capital is one of the largest sprawls in the world with over 20 million souls calling it home. It is heavily polluted both physically and astrally, a situation which necessitates breath masks or similar solutions outside the large corporate enclaves and the many Temples of the Sun. The historic lagoons of the ancient city have restored alongside cutting edge Aztec inspired architecture, creating a unique look incapable of being replicated anywhere else in the world. The constant threat of acid rain and pollutants keep the ultra rich and their ilk secreted away inside the castillo domes or scurrying between them in heavily protected vehicles.
Outside the corporate sector and far from the pyramid of the Path of Sun the slums of Tenochtitlan stretch endlessly. The laws of the land allow for casual access to firearms and the security forces, while stronger than most nations, are keen to let the sprawlers fight amongst themselves.
