S-K Tumbles in Loftwyr's Absence
Loftwyr's victory in the as-yet-still not understood " Dragon Civil War " has left him, by all reports, wounded and withdrawn - his silence, and the absence of his overbearing presence, has lead to a run on SK assets. The still mighty megacorp has seen its rankings fall from the second most powerful in the world to, what some analysts are saying, may be seventh or eighth place - if this trend were to continue SK may see its status as a AAA brought into question, something unthinkable just six months prior.

Peacekeeping Efforts Continue along the Amazonia-Aztlan Border
UN Peacekeepers under the command of General Augustus Rames maintain a precarious peace in the Orinoco River Valley and the region surrounding Cali and Bogota. Violence between various groups flare up routinely but have not involved regular armed forces of either side, allowing the peace to hold for now. Operations in the shadows have by all accounts risen greatly, and mercenary presence in the area has increased of late - particularl with para-military groups that specialize in unconventional warfare.   Operations in the region are forbidden unless specifically granted by the UN AG, UN SG, or through the Director Level approval of UNAEIA, UNESCO, or UNERF . Unofficial travel in the region is being strongly advised against for all nations.

Ares reports great success in containing the CFD outbreak in Boston's Back Bay and surrounding neighborhoods. Civilians continue to be extracted, scanned, and sent onward to the Northeast Metroplex aid centers. President Martha Gates of the UCAS has announced full confidence in Ares and requested no international assistance be offered. The UN respects the sovereign wish of the UCAS and has banned all travel and aid to the region.   Shadow operations in the region have increased, particularly by foreign multinationals - agents are requested by Secretary General Fantos Numeachus to report any suspicious rumors or reports to the General Analytics Department, North America bureaue.

Ngathiske Saintal, the Toxic Shaman allegedly responsible for the 2072 terrorist attack in Bandung, has reportedly been discovered and eliminated by UN forces in the rain forests in the Javanese Republic. Prime Minister Ogeithe extends his thanks to the men and women of the UNPROFOR and UNERF for their aid in this matter and reiterates that the Javanese Republic has no tolerance for terrorism, heresy, and violations of its national sovereignty. Astral readings for the area confirm a marked change in the regions manasphere, a possible sign that the Toxic Shaman's influence has abated already.

Aleph - Omega IPO Cancelled Amidst Takeover Rumors
The much anticipated Aleph - Omega IPO scheduled for the end of March has been cancelled amidst rampant speculation about takeover offers, both welcome and unwelcome. The Israeli companies rise has been regarded as a challenge to the traditional claimants of the region, and its distribution deal with SK, ink still dry, a more bold claim to the rest of the world's weapons market. The typical major players are all suspects, with Ares, Aztechnology, and MCT salivating at the prospect, but NeoNet is also rumored to be in play, possibly trying to snatch another victory from Ares' plate.

Safety and Security in a Wireless World
The only major power spared the deaths from Crash 2.0 was Saedar-Krupp, the dragons matrix kill-switch a surprise shield against the chaos in the New York Stock Exchange that claimed several million lives. In our new, wireless, world we've learned our lesson - a decentralized global matrix is a safer, and more efficient, alternative to the old constructs of the past. However, some enclaves have returned to wired systems for security purposes, now several companies race to implement similar safeguards as SK once enacted. With testing ongoing the balance between safety and security is more dangerous then ever.

God's Hand Militia Makes Advances in Eastern Tribal Lands
The God's Hand Militia, which emerged in Central Africa during the chaos of the HMMV outbreak of 71, has further pushed back the frontiers of the major african nations in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly along the border with Ethiomalia, Kenya, and Angola. Reports of violence throughout the African Tribal Federation continue to mount, with several smaller militia groups carving out their own spheres within the region. Analysts are beginning to fear a further breakdown of security in Central African, though aid has begun to come in from the Corporate Council to prop up the valuable allied border countries.   God's Hand Miltiia has been officially placed on the Corporate Sanction list, be advised that any other nations participating in trade with the group should be reported immediately to UN-CC Liason Officer Mike Brandonclatz.

A vein of orichalcum, the metal critical to the creation of magical goods, of unknown size has been discovered in the Sierra Madres by an independent mining outfit. The location of the vein has increased tensions in the region, with the PCC, California Protectorate, CAS, and Aztlan immediately beginning survey works to lay out a justification for ownership and extraction. Small-time outfits and desperate individuals have already flooded the area, most coming in from Denver, causing further problems for what locals remain in the area.

Blight Convoy Intended for Non-Profit Distribution Raided in Aztlan
A large shipment of Blight intended for clinics throughout the Tenochtitlan region was robbed by, from all reports, a large and well organized group. The participation of any government or paramilitary group us unknown, but the loss of valuable humanitarian cargo has provoked a halt to non profit aid in the region which has only recently been resumed after significant government intervention and promises. No official response from either Aztlan government or the Dunkelzahn Institute of Magic has been forthcoming.
