Stilholn Forest
Beware.
Watch your back, Travelers, as the forest you've trespassed in is not one that welcomes you. Allow your fears to sink in and your paranoia to grow, as the eyes that watch you from the corners of your vision gaze upon you the same hungry look you give cooked meat.
As long as you remain here, your life is not your own. Dress lightly, pack sparingly, and be quick. You may just see the sun again.
Geography
This forest is thought to be a curse upon Prostesa for the misuse of dark magic. From it's beginning, it's been a blight on the continent to even the likes of the Bethians. A counterpart to Aranex Forest, its first tree grew at the exact same time as Aranex's. Gnomes inhabit this forest just as much as the gnomes in Aranex Forest do.
Do not let this knowledge fool you, for these gnomes come from the Feywild, and they've brought a terrible heritage with them.
Fauna & Flora
Unlike Aranex Forest which is filled with white, it is hard to distinguish color in Stilholn Forest, as the towering trees of black bark and leaves block out sunlight. Surprisingly, however, the plants do not seem to require any source of light to sustain themselves. They will grow as wildly as they please without warning in any environment so long as they aren't subject to burning.
The creatures are almost as horrid as the gnomes. Untamed, twitchy, and prone to violence, only the most foolish of travelers would think of making these animals their familiars. The one saving grace that this forest has is the sheer force of magical energy. For as dangerous as the Feywild is, its raw magic dripped into the forest and gave it its identity.
