Noble Profession L1
Noble Profession L1 (1st Class) is the Final rank of Noble Professions. It includes six paths:
- Mercatrix A:L1 Magistra Elementorum
- Mastery over their chosen art or craft
- Can open a school offering up to L3 Rank
- Mercatrix E:L1 Magistra Lodgii
- Can open Churches or Grand Lodges/Temples
- Executive within their element or discipline
- Gladia A:L1 Domina Equitum
- Executive class
- In command of regions or advisors to ruling class
- Generals in armies
- High Priests
- Gladi E:L1 Domina Animalium
- Control entire regions or advise ruling class
- Lead plans or expeditions
- Acolyta A:L1 Decana Haemotologiae
- Blood specialist
- Executive within their discipline
- Acolyta E:L1 Decana Chirugiae
- Usually in executive positions within a guild or state
- They are also often in administration of healthcare
What are the qualifications for a rank or title?
- You can technically start training for L1 anytime after receiving L2
- You must be mentored and Recommended by two separate L1 Ranks (of any stream)
- Must pass the Marriage Ceremony to become a Friend of God
- Minimum of 6 years of training and work, unless you participate and survive in an active war or military action
What are the requirements and responsibilities?
- Be in Good Standing with a Guild or Union of Lithomancy
- Note that "Good Standing" means having not been chemically sterilized by a guild for leaving.
- Few survive re-fertilization, but those who do can appeal and their rank will be reinstated
- Your right to judicial protection is revoked if you are not employed with a Noble Business at the time of committing a crime
- Pass the Requirements to become a Friend of God
- Mentor at least one L3 or higher every six years (you get subsidies for doing this)
How is the rank granted?
- It is granted through a second marriage ceremony
- A member of the Immutable Council of Noble Professions must approve the ceremony
- An unrelated L1 must be present at the renewal to verify it was a success
What are the benefits of the rank?
- Access to more advanced magic and metaphysical knowledge
- Better employment opportunities, including both social standing and financial compensation
- Higher status in a Union or Guild, which come with many supports and benefits
- These ranks can typically hold executive positions
