Godsibb

The Godsibbs are a mysterious race of arthropod-like beasts. Though it's claimed they are Nachkommen, no one knows where they came from, and there seem to be Urkommen who think they're

Who are they and what do they look like?

  • A ghastly combination of arthropoda, nemetoda, and human phisiology
  • Typically, they try to mimic Urkommen, particularly the females, as they see them as the strongest
  • Thus, a lot of them look like giant, mutant insects with the faces and limbs of humanoid women
  • They often have parasitic growths which create extra faces and heads in their body

What are their senses or perceptions?

  • Their sight is on par with many arthropods, so they judge distance and location/movement very well
  • They don't have the same depth of colour and clarity, but can also see UV and Infra Red
  • They feel pain, but their survival instinct just makes them more desperate and brutal if they're injured
  • Limbs may grow back
  • Their parasites can take over the host body if the main head is cut off

Where are they in your setting?

  • They are everywhere, they seem to be more concentrated in places with less population
  • They are particularly vulnerable to ambush/mob hunting so they dislike crowded places unless they are in their element, such as a forest

How do they survive in their environment?

  • They are aggressive, territorial hunters
  • Amazing offensive/defensive capabilitities
  • Hydra-like regeneration with their parasites
  • Many can survive without sunlight
  • Pheremones can help deter predators or hunters

What is their general attitude?

  • They are generally feral, violent, and territorial
  • Some are more emotionally evolved than others, but most aggresssive if provoked
  • Certain peoples see them as divine and protect their respective local Godsibb

How do they feel about the other peoples?

  • They generally see those smaller than them as food

Basic Information

Biological Cycle

They have parasites which live in their bodies, often forming a branch of their nervous system. They often appear as deformed faces or heads and signify the amount of "lives" the Godsibb has. If the Godsibb loses their head, one of those will take over and drive the body.

Behaviour

They are apex predators, with humans being part of their food chain. Even the calmest one will turn hostile when hungry.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

They are named after the type of Godsibb they are, which typically have names of old infernal beasts. Their second name is their classification, their closest genetic relative.

Known Godsibb Clades:
Alloces Volana
Gaap Tenodera
Amaymon-Ichna
Klepoth Lonomia
