Avalach Abellion was the final living owner of the Abellion Orchards, a Region of Kargast located in the Gloynbyw Coalfields. His land consisted of the fertile lands of the Hemlock River, on which has Gall Orchards growing Gall Plums, alongside Thornapple, Sourapple, Medlars and other fruits.
He was considered a Tribal Lord in Kargast, and Abellion Orchards was a wealthy area. His region had several hamlets and villages stretching along the Hemlock River, including a children's school, orphanage, arboretum, menagerie, trading post, and horticultural society. There were a few holy sites, namely a small abandoned mining operation converted into a shrine to Mir and Maudra. Many of the shrines to Godsibbs have been destroyed, with the shrine to Mir and Maudra converted into a Temple of Bel eventually.
Avalach like many of the Tribal Lords and Ladies of Kargast and Karkebi, was a patron of the Three Sacred Arts - Barddas, Veledon, and Druwitism, which are still practiced by Urkommen communities and have attained popularity in Chemosynthesis. He was known as 'Father Greencap' for his contributions to organic life and medicine, and was a generous patron of the Bloodwoads.
He was one of the more open minded and socially progressive of the Vespers (Western-dwelling peoples) and was more fair toward the Bloodwoad settlements, which were typically made of leftover victims of parasitic slavery. He specializes in Oldwood Gardening and Sided Magic, and thus his crops grow slower and last longer much like many Urkommen and rural settlements. He however, was also fond of technology, and it's said was preparing to chase after the Godsibb and rural deity of Time and Upheavals, Klepoth-Lonomia, who was said to be hiding out in Eskern.
His accidental killing of Wendy would result in the creation of the first incomplete Alrauna. An adult Wendy would return to Abellion Orchards, but by then Avalach had been replaced by his double walker Ava1ach Abe1lion. It seems that his estate was infected with one of the Six Parasites which led to the death of about 30% of the Abellion Orchards Valley population and wildlife, including 90% population loss among Urkommen.
This would resolve itself with the influx of Coriniaid and Heno expansion into Kargast, as well as improved trade relationships with Eskern and admittance into the Eskern Cycle Rulerships in ~50 ECA.
Avalach was known to be close with Morgaine, the Glendatis Matriarch of Kargast, and Coel Hen, a scientist and magician from Pestilentia. It is well known that Avalach, Morgaine, and Coel were all very close and that Avalach was in love with Coel.
Avalach did not have children of his own, but adopted his deceased brother Cymbeline's children to raise as heirs, thus legally they became his sons and he married Cymbeline's widow Dafne, a Cynipina woman who he had a purely political connection to - she would eventually become a priestess, not wanting to move on from Cymbeline, and turns into a tree. The heirs were unfortunately killed during the Nycteria outbreak, leaving behind only Sheena, whose parentage is unknown.
