The Sanguine Depths

The Sanguine Depths, once a pristine realm, now bears witness to the arcane-infused transformation of its wildlife, notably the Direbear. This transformation was instigated by warlocks and necromancers who, in their pursuit of power, drew extensively from the area's unique blood-like substance.

This meddling infused the environment with arcane energies. As a result, the Direbear evolved a crystalline Armour infused with these arcane energies and the minerals of the sanguine substance, offering both physical and magical protection. This armoured hide became highly coveted by dark magic practitioners, further deepening the Direbear's entwinement with the realm's altered fate. Evolving from an ordinary direbear into the first of the many Sanguine Bears. The Sanguine Bears existence now serves as both a symbol of nature's adaptability and a warning against the perils of arcane interference.
