Aataensic

The guardian spirit of the Village of Souls. She ensures that the souls remain safe from themselves and those that wish to harm them. For a long time she has lived in the village itself, but after a few centuries she decided to leave and join a small human settlement. From then on she spent most of her time with the living and only occasionally or when necessary returning to the village of souls. Today she owns a small art gallery in Harlem. There she focuses on art created by Native American artists from all around the country. Although this keeps her very busy she still finds time to teach a few art and a few language classes at a local college each semester. Most of the people around her do not know about her true nature. They call her Ati or Ms. Tioicha. The surname she adopted once it became necessary to fit into colonial society.

Motivation

As a guardian spirit she has her duty towards the souls of the Wyandot people. This duty is still very important to her even though she has made some compromises. She will drop anything she is doing to rush to the village when an emergency arises. Beyond her duty she wishes to preserve the culture, language and history of her peoples. This is why she teaches classes on languages like Wyandot, Seneca and Onondaga. These are either largely extinct or endangered. She often supports various programs that are designed to revitalize these languages. She loves helping an individual to get out of a tough situation or find their place in the art world. She always visits various communities of Native Americans and is well known there as a patron for artists.

Appearance

She definitely looks a lot younger than she actually is, but depending on how she dresses and the make-up she applies she can appear as anything from her early twenties to her late thirties. She is 171 cm tall. She often uses clothes, make-up and hair styling to considerably change her appearance every few years. However since the veil has fallen she is thinking about staying who she is now.

Special Abilities

As a guardian spirit she is bound to the village of souls. From anywhere she can enter the village by simply walking there. She can bring people with her when they are holding hands with her. While she is in the village she can control who comes to the village and who can't. She defends the village by creating illusions to prevent them from actually reaching the village. Eventually anyone will give up. Outside of the village she is much more vulnerable and has no special capabilities. In all her time she has managed to survive and situation and stay safe so far.
