Brioa

Located in north east Galtarland the small village of Brioa is an unassuming little walled village off the north road. It has maybe 250 people living in it with the primary industry being foresting and lumber. The village headman Heaid owns the lumber mill and manages the day to day of the village. The local Thing is made up of the villagers who get together to vote on larger decisions like new constructions or court cases.

The villages is located in the middle of the Brioa woods, the same woods that the village is named after. The village's water comes from Á Spriga, River Spriga, a small river that flows from a spring around 10 miles from the villages. It settles 5 miles away in Lake Vimmir on the edge of the road into the woods.

The closest other settlement is Hofsted another similarly sized village. They conduct trade with each other on a semi regular basses with other trading opportunities coming from the merchants that come through on occasion.

On the military aspect of the town. Brioa has a standing force of around twenty or so part-time guards dedicating to protecting the villages from local wild life, lesser monsters, and the occasional bandit. The village is walled incorporating a number of natural rocky outcroppings to augment their defenses.

Recently Hofsted has stopped communicating and strange creatures made of plants have been seen staking the woods.

  • The merchants tend to arrive just after Yule.
