During the dark days, a time of forced underground dwelling had begun for the dwarves. The surface was no longer safe for them to live, so under the protection of the six-legged ancient they fled to cave systems under the mountains. They lit their caves with soul crystals, allowing them to grow some food. It was a time of waiting for the strife of the ancients to calm down, so they could return to the surface again.

The time of Chiefs
Cultural eventFor a large time Ûnduleah was a mostly cold and barren land. Only small populations of dwarfs lived in clans far apart along the volcanic ridges. The majority lived on Aachor and along the Kiridûn mountains The clans were run by dwarf chiefs, with up to 50 dwarfs in their clan. To share resources, knowledge and skills (and genes), some small dwarf clans exchanged a small group of chosen ones with other clans every few decades.

Founding of Keadin
FoundingA few years after the Silver Rain the dwarves had discovered and gathered around the heat shard. The central position and warm conditions made it an excellent location for a new settlement. After only a few years the settlement had grown into town. The Kádi and Dîn dwarves decided to name their new town: Keadin. It slowly grew to be a center of trade, knowledge, and the biggest port on the continent.
