The Sunless Sea

The Sunless Sea is a section of water between Chenash and Yiria and was home to the kingdom of Baramorn. The people of Baramorn took to blaspheming the god Lathander by holding massive sacrifical rituals. For this blaspheme, Lathander cursed the area to never see the light of his sun again. The area is to this day covered in darkness. Light sources like torches and candles and magical light still work in this area the curse only removed sunlight. However, holy light gifted by Lathander and the light of the moon do not give off any light as they both originate from the god.

Localized Phenomena

The Sunless Sea is an area of between Chenash and Yiria. This area has been cursed to never again see the light of the sun. Frome the outside of the cursed area one would see a dark, think, misty clouds surrounding the area. One inside the Sunless Sea, one would be completly surrounded by total darkness. Light sources like torches and candles and magical light still work in this area the curse only removed sunlight. However, holy light gifted by Lathander and the light of the moon do not give off any light as they both originate from the god. Within the Sunless Sea there is said to be corrupted versions of the people once inhabiting Baramorn as well as the children of Shar, the Shades.
