Y'rn would instead be placed mainly under the control of the lower gods Asmodeus, Loviatar, and Talona. The children of Cyric, the Devils, would be able to enter Y'rn as well as be able to use some of the souls now inhabiting Y'rn. However, Ao knew that, if unchecked, the Devils would follow their father and lie to possibly steal a mortal's soul for themselves and so Ao cursed the Devils to not be able to lie to a mortal.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They usually have dark, almost colorless skin and hair with black, corrupted wings and blood red eyes. Devils can change their appearance and tend to appear to mortals as very beautiful and almost heavenly figures to entice and seduce men into making infernal contracts. The most powerful Devils will take control and become Arch-Devils. Arch-Devils will usually be special in appearance in some way like beauty, uglyness, size, etc.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Devils see through their eyes, hear through their ears, smell through their noses, feel through their skin, and communicate through their mouth / throat. They also have some extra sensory abilities such as sensing good and evil and general heightened spacial awareness. Devils can get glimpses into the hearts and minds of mortals to see what the desire most. Some more powerful Devils can communicate with mortals telepathically.

Civilization and Culture

History

Many people and events can be pointed to for why The gods War happened. The main figure blamed for sparking The gods War into existence is the god Cyric as he, through lies and whispers, began to erode the relations between the nations, races, and enetually the Divine Factions of Ümbria. Cyric had a Divine Faction but they typically did not engage in large scale open combat. Once The gods War had properly begun, Cyric's Faction would infiltrate cities, nations, and military bases of the other Divine Factions where they proceed to sow distrust and paranoia until the hostile city, nation, or base had all but destroyed itself from the inside. Here Cyric's Faction would assemble undere the banner of their god and wipe away any remaining resistance. Cyric was Ao's fist choice for overseer of Y'rn but due to his disgraceful actions Cyric would not gain this role. Y'rn, and the punishment of souls, would instead be placed mainly under the control of the lower gods Asmodeus, Loviatar, and Talona. The children of Cyric, the Devils, would be able to enter Y'rn as well as be able to use the souls now inhabiting Y'rn.
