Anatomy

Demons are chaos incarnate and come in countless shapes and sizes with each being more disturbing and chaotic than the last. The most powerful of demons would become Arch-Demons, nearly unstopable fiends capable of destroying a legion of angels single handedly. The average Demon anatomy is almost non-existant due to their chaotic nature.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Demons see through their eyes, hear through their ears, smell through their noses, feel through their skin, and communicate through their mouth / throat. They also have some extra sensory abilities such as sensing good and evil and general heightened spacial awareness. Demons also have some form of hive mind but the extant of this is unknown as Demons have personalities (as shallow as they may be) but also communicate constantly with the rest of the horde.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Age of Discord was a time of unknown length before the creation of the material universe. During this time the physical universe did not exist as we know it but instead this dimension was still a formless plane filled by an endless war. The two sides of this war were the endless hordes of demons, formed and fueled by unchecked chaos, and Ao, the singular deity of order and law. Ao created legions of divine warriors, known as Angels, to fight against the neverending swarms of demons. The most powerful of demons would become Arch-Demons, nearly unstopable fiends capable of destroying a legion of angels single handedly. The most capable of angels would be promoted to be Arch-Angels, incredibly powerful divine soldiers strong enough to hold their own against a Arch-Demon. The Chaos War raged for a unknown amount of time (the war was fought before time was created) until Ao's forces had pushed the forces of demons back far enough for Ao to execute his devine plan. Ao created the Universe (also known as the Materium) which is a plane of unknown lenght, width, and height, governed by physical laws and filled with mater. Along with the creation of the Materium Ao birthed 5 sons and 5 daughters to tend to, protect, and govern. This material plane would serve as a barricade between the chaos of the demons and the order of the gods. The demons could not exist in the material plane, without divine magic, as they would have to submit to the natural laws of the plane. With the Materium now protecting the divine plane and Ao being weakend from creating the universe, Ao would sleep for 2000 years to regain his power. Unfortunately durning the creation of the universe many angels and arch-angels on the front lines were trapped beyond the Materium and withing demon territory. The trapped angels would attempt to retreat while others would hold the line and defend their retreating angel brothers. During this time many angels fell both in battle and to the corrupting chaos. Without the leadership of Ao, the angels who fell to corruption would become the first Devils. Devils would abandon their divine heritage and go on to form their own plane of lawful evil known as The Nine-Hells.
