Chow Time!
That thing is a hazard, more to her than any would-be enemy
Ellie's chain-mounted frying pan. Yes, you read that right. Yes, she named it herself, and yes, she is proud of the name.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
This weapon works on principles of centrifugal force and blunt-force trauma. It does not have inner workings... it's a frying pan... on a chain. It does conduct heat very well though.
Manufacturing process
To do it 'right' and make it look decent, you may require a hammer and a source of heat to either melt the items together, or to bend the chain so that it can be interlocked with the frying pan.
Step 1: Acquire a frying pan.
Step 2: Acquire a chain of the desired length.
Step 3: either heat the chain, break a link, and shape it around a loop in the pan's handle OR fuse the chain into the handle of the pan.
Step 4: reconsider your sanity or that of the blacksmith who made this item for you.
History
Ellie found a chain and an old frying pan. In a burst of... something... she tied the chain around the frying pan and began swinging. After getting pulled to and fro by the very monstrosiity she created, she fell to the floor, giigling uproriously. She's insisted on making that her weapon ever since, much to the chagrin of her mother.
...About that...
Cast iron frying pans are common. Chains are also common. The question is: who thought to combine them, and who actually executed such a vision. This weapon is unique, because no self respecting warrior would wield something so outlandish in battle.
- 1 cast-iron frying pan
- 1 chain, preferrably strong enough to handle the weight of the pan.
- 1 wielder who is either insane and/or imaginative.
- A hammer
- A forge
- An anvil
