General Summary

Big Moments:

• Ellywick does a sweep of the Osterheim Estate second story to see if there are any other baddies lurking
• Holland and Klip do a sweep of the Osterheim Estate first story to see if there are any other baddies lurking or bodies specifically in the pantry where there are no windows (investigation NATURAL 20) and hears faint sounds from behind a pantry wall and scrapes across the floor.
• Holland starts calling into the hidden room. Not knowing if it is a safe room or a hidden room
• Klip suggests grabbing the Tomb of Leadership and influence before opening the hidden door and goes to retrieve it
• Ellywick looks around the study for other items of interests (investigation 14) and notices a roman like dagger on a shelf and pockets it.
• Holland attempts to open the door/ find the lever/ mechanism (dexterity 15) and finds a coffee tin that hides the switch finding the Osterheim family inside and starts unbinding them.
• Holland casts healing world on Ida Osterheim who looks malnourished and ill.
• Esmerelda runs to get medical help with her family
• Malcom mentions that they had been locked away for 6 days and thanks Holland and offers any assistance he can.
• Everyone reassembles at the door with Sir Malcom and exchanges names and thank yous.
• Klip asks Sir Malcom if he had been at the auction house recently to Holland’s horror, who tries to recover mentioning that there were mask perhaps he was confused and he should focus on his family (persuasion 18) rather then investigating if the doppelgänger was at the auction house
• Esmerelda slips Holland a pouch of money not taking no for an answer and walks away

• Rhyderch runs across the arena and makes an unarmed strike against Holland with a 22 hitting and dealing 6pts of bludgeoning damage. Then using a Ki point for furry of blows and missing with a 7 and a 4.
• Holland casts thunderwave at Rhyderch who fails his con save with a 7 and takes 10pts of thunder damage and is thrown out of the ring.
• Holland wins due to knocking Rhyderch out of bounds.
• Dathibra begins healing audience members caught in Holland’s Thunder Wave
• Holland drops out of the rest of the matches
• Holland glances at Iona (perception 22) who is alone and had watched his entire match, she doesn’t seem to have a ledger or more than just an average coin purse and her large sword
• Holland walks around the ring so as to walk past her but not up to her
• Iona catches Holland’s eye as he passes and she seems worried about his skill and comments to him “good match”
• Holland speaks with Iona about if she ever competes in the pit and the two banter back in forth about the size of swords and how they are handled
• Iona propositions Holland for his services, which he asks which kind of servicing
• Iona hands Klip a card with something the had written on and leaves
• Holland follows Iona (Stealth check NATURAL 20) and follows her out of Hopes and Robbers brewing and back into the second district. Once he notices she is not headed towards The Snarking Pseudodragon he heads back to pick up Klip
• Klip and Holland head back to 432b Mockingbird Ln
• Farlynn attends to Klip’s injuries
• Klip and Holland give The Tomb of Leadership and Influence to Farlynn to hide
• Farlynn hides The Tomb of Leadership and Influence in the supply closet
• Farlynn presents Holland with cake and wine for winning at the Nero’s Pit
• Holland rolls a 12 on his strength check to open a bottle of wine for he Klip and Farlynn
• Klip takes a bath to soak his wounds
• The boys head to bed
• Holland checkes on the book in the supply closet before heading down to bed
• The party checks in over breakfast
• Holland suggests that Ellywick could make great use of the Tomb of Leadership and Influence
• Ellywick notices that the enchantment upon the Tomb of Leadership and Influence has been activated but it has not lost its magic yet. (someone had not finished it)
• Ellywick states that she should save reading the book till their voyage across the sea, btu that they should take care of Ralphagor now
• Holland and Farlynn talk about their crew situation and hands him 50gp to hire more crew
• The party helps Farlynn with the dishes before heading out for the day
• The party heads to Frank ‘N Sons
• Ellywick buys some new armor to keep her safe while she takes down Ralphagor
• Ellywick tries to haggle with Abbie over the price of gleaming armor to 85gp and her old leather armor with a persuasion check of 7
• Holland asks about enchantment services at Frank ‘En Sons which Tiny provides
• The party heads to Bibbits and Bobbles
• The party sepeaking with Madam Rontu about healing potions and other types of potions, the prices and whether they could offer wolf spider hair to lower their bill (Persuasion 4. Holland)
• Klip explains why the Wolf Spider hairs they are selling are so valuable (persuasion 20) reducing the price for two common and one great potion of healing by 20gp
• The Party purchases a handful of healing potions
• Ellywick asks Madam Rontu if she has a rapier for sale in her magic shop, and she is shown a crystal rapier which costs 500, and she passes
• The party begins marching towards the Snarking Pseudodragon discussing their plan or tactics and what they should name their ship
• Ellywick suggests naming the ship Demona’s Hope
• The party arrives to the Snarking Pseudodragon
• Ellywick and Klip walkin and sit at a table and order some tea
• Holland walks over to separate table and orders an ale
• Holland presents his note from Iona to the bartender
• The bartender tells Holland the password to get in to the backroom
• Holland disembarks for the back room and gives the password, “The dove doesn’t fly.”
• Holland makes his way into the back room depositing his empty stein in the door way so that the door does not close (slight of hand 14)
• Holland meets with Ralphagor about the possibility of work
• Holland demonstrates his abilities by casting shillelagh on his staff
• FOCUS SHIFT
• Ellywick takes notice of Ralphagor’s goon coming out to get an ale at the bar
• Ellywick suggest that she and Klip take care of the goon so that she can disguise herself as him
• Ellywick gets up from the table and walks over to the goon and trips spilling her tea on him
• Ellywick suggests going to help clean him up as she apologizes (Persuasion 12) and he follows her
• Ellywick makes a gesture at Klip for him to follow
• Ellywick quickly cuts her rope in half as she and Klip attempt to subdue the goon
• ENCOUNTER
• Klip tries to tie up Ralphagor’s goon (slight of hand 19)
• Ellywick fails to grapple Ralphagor’s goon (athletics NATURAL 1) taking 1pt of bludgeoning damage in the process
• Ellywick tries to kick out the goons feet from under him with a 12 and misses
• The goon takes an unarmed strike against Klip hitting with a 20 and dealing 4pts of bludgeoning damage
• FOCUS SHIFT
• Holland asks Ralphagor about the type of work he is doing, he says he has many projects int the work to raise his station
• Ralphagor asks what he could do for Holland, who responds with coin of course
• Ralphagor reveals that he knows that he rescued the Osterheim family
• Ralphagor creates a magical contract and ushers to Holland to come over to the accountants desk
• FOCUS SHIFT
• Initiative roll Klip 19, Ellywick 4, goon NAUTRAL 1
• Klip attacks the goon with hi maul with an 18 and deals 11pts of nonleather damage to Ralphagors goon, knocking him out and then tie him up
• Ellywick casts disguise self on herself to become Ralphagor’s goon then heads back to pick up the drink and walks back into the backroom
• Ellywick as the goon comes in and hands a drink to Holland and then takes a seat on the couch
• Klip heads over to the bar keep and sets down 10gp to ask the bar tender to leave the bar for a bit (persuasion check 20) and he leaves
• Klip barges into the backroom demanding why Holland is being offered a job and not he, for he is undefeated in the Nero’s Pit
• Holland casts Poison Spray on Ralphagor who fails his save taking 7pts of poison damage
• ENCOUNTER
• Initiative roll Holland NATURAL 20(first due to hire dex mod) Ellwicky NAUTRAL 20, Klip 18
• Holland casts grasping vine son Iona, Ralphador’s goon, and Ellywick (who is in disguise) Iona and the goon are restrained Ellywick is not. As a bonus action he poison sprays at Ralphagor again who fails his con save taking 7pts of poison damage.
• Ellywick casts dissonant whispers at Ralphagor’s second goon, and he saves with a 12 on his con roll taking 4pts of psychic damage then she retreats 10ft and then gives Holland bardic inspiration
• The accountant hides under the table
• Klip fires his crossbow at Ralphagor’s second goon hitting with a 25 and dealing 10pts of damage kill him, then retreats into the corner of the room
• Ralphagor casts Hex on Holland giving him disadvantage on all wis checks. Then casts firebolt on Holland with an 18 to hit dealing 10pts of fire damage and 5pts of Necrotic damage
• Iona breaks free from her vine restraints with a 21 strength check
• Holland shifts with his bonus action then casts fairy fire on Ralphagor who passes with a 15 on his dex save then retreats 5ft
• Ellywick casts Thunderwave on Iona who makes her con save with a 16 and takes 6pts of thunder damage, the illusion dissolves leaving Ellywick without her disguise self. Then she casts blade ward on herself
• The accountant bonus action pisses himself
• Klip takes a pistol shot at Ralphagor with a 20 dealing 9pts of piercing damage
• Ralphagor makes an attack at Klip with his scimitar and misses with a 10 he attacks a second time for a NATURAL 1
• Klip parries Ralphagor’s second attack slapping him with his pistol and dealing 5pts of bludgeoning damage
• Iona stands up and takes a swipe at Ellywick with her long sword and misses with an 8
• Holland moves to the other side of Ralphagor and attacks him with his staff hitting with a 16 and dealing 4pts of bludgeoning damage, then hitting a second time wit ha 17 and dealing another 4pts of bludgeoning damage

• Holland yells to the accountant that he could definitely use their services later
• Klip fires his crossbow at the accountant hitting wth a 17 and killing him instantly
• Klip uses action surge to fire his crossbow at Ralphagor and hits with an 18 dealing 10pts of piercing damage
• Ralphagor takes two scimitar attacks at Holland with an 18 and a 19 dealing 10 pts of slashing damage and 5pts of necrotic damage
• Iona bonus action second winds for 7pts of healing and then runs to Ralphagor

• Klip turns to Iona and persuades her to drop down her sword and they will let her live, that she was not the evil they were here for (persuasion 21) she submits and then
• Klip begins recruiting her for their mission across the sea (persuasion 17) and she accepts his offer as Ralphagor is dead
